A SEAT Ibiza in New Orleans with mexican plates? I’m as confused as you are. We were sitting behind it waiting for a light today and I said to Clay, “you are taking a picture of that with your phone for me right now, yes?” (My phone and camera were in my purse, and besides, I was driving…)

Occasionally, gifts from the car fairies show up in front of our house. Clay talked to the owner of this for a minute, it is a 67.

Mind you, as this was the year of the car that got away, I’d be able to id the year in any case.

This Important Dealer Notice was apparently hidden underneath the license plate on this 67 mustang for quite some years.

This is, in a nutshell why we haven’t gotten much done on Patches this summer. Lots of rain. She survives it fine though, with that high ground clearance.

I got it. I will post this picture of a beetle with some debris behind it for a remembrance of sorts.

I wrote about this bowling alley last year, I forget when — I went to it as a kid on the westbank for friends’ birthday parties, and found out that it was open until Katrina. Fairly certain this was a Broussard flood+roof damage casualty.

Clay found this great old green ford falcon for me - 63, I believe - on the way back from Rising Tide this afternoon.

Same color as the weeds.

1963 Biscayne part two. Trying a new approach here, tumblr is all about experimenting, right? Note the hula girl on the dashboard.

This car I actually identified on the spot by the grille since a good friend of mine owns a 1963 Impala SS. His is yellow. Most of the time I have a good idea and am off by a year or two.

Land yacht. 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne, part one. Found this gem of an old car on my way downtown for lunch one day. Went around the block to get pictures.

1960s Mercedes 280sl convertible. Very pretty car. Night shots are difficult, which is of course -why- I find all sorts of interesting cars walking to the rue or the rendezvous at night on magazine.

These came out better than most. The interior on this car was in gorgeous shape as well.

Zagato

This old buick belongs either to my mechanic or one of his friends. He’s a cool old guy who used to repair ferraris and alfas for a living, “back when I was your age.” He still does repair the weird stuff on occasion - I saw a stunning 50s alfa spyder in there for an engine rebuild for a while. Damned car wanted my soul and it wasn’t even for sale.

Garden District 911. 1981, possibly 1982. I don’t know if this one lives on the street full-time like my old neighbor’s yellow one. (Yellow 1969 911 here.) The yellow one’s owner moved into the apartment next to our old one.

1981 Honda Prelude. Another old car happily lowering property values in the garden district, which to be fair is weirder than I thought it would be - the neighbors like the truck. (Click through for more.)
